Bunzo’s Burgers

Bunzo’s Burgers is a burger join that keeps it real…or, it would, if it were real. This was a passion project using a brief from Designer Briefs. This hypothetical restaurant offers burgers with big buns, juicy patties, and no artificial ingredients. Their vibe has a little bit of an attitude and their burgers are messy and classic.

Project Goal: Create a full brand for Bunzo’s Burgers including a logo, menu, swag, and advertising that sets them apart from their big-box competitors, while giving them room to grow and expand. Reflect their personality which is bold, juicy, street, modern, and classic.

Creative Strategy: Set Bunzo’s apart from competitors by designing a custom, hand-drawn typographic logo. Its rectangular form nods to a burger, with smaller details hinting at toppings. The distinctiveness of the logo allows the rest of the branding to lean on familiar fast-food cues, ensuring Bunzo’s remains instantly recognizable. A warm color palette, checkered pattern, and chunky typography reinforce that connection, while fun, high-contrast photography—unposed and a little “messy”—captures Bunzo’s streetwise appeal.
